Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs from Los Angeles (the highest kill rate in any urban city in America) and surrounding shelters from death row. As an advocate for the underdog, we specialize in bully breeds, including American Bulldogs, Mastiffs, Staffies, Boxers as well as seniors, but we rescue all breeds. When we save a dog, he/she is immediately taken to our vet for a thorough exam and is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped as needed. All of our dogs are placed with carefully screened foster homes until we find their forever homes. We don’t believe in boarding because you can’t truly know what a dog needs in order to thrive if they’re living in a cage, so we use foster homes only. We provide rehabilitation and specialized training to our rescue dogs as needed.  Because our dogs live in foster homes and not kennels, we are able to make the best matches for applicants and dogs. Because of this, our return rate is less than 1% which is something that we are very proud of.
