Climate change is one of the biggest threats to our world today. By working together we can lower our carbon emissions and reduce its impacts on our community and loved ones.  

Since 1970, Acterra has been helping Bay Area residents, businesses and community organizations band together to to address environmental problems locally. When we partner together we can have a big impact, whether it's by electrification of homes, businesses, and vehicles; or through environmental education to raise awareness of climate change impacts or spread sustainable workplace practices; or local programs and resources that save money for, and empower, underresourced communities. There are simple steps that we can take to do our part! Our world, and our future generations depend on it.

• Support on-the-ground initiatives like EarthWise Kids and the Climate Change Community Team to reduce vulnerability for residents of East Palo Alto and Belle Haven (Menlo Park) to flooding, extreme heat, and other climate change impacts.
• Join us in recognizing local businesses and organizations for outstanding environmental innovation and leadership through our Business Environmental Awards Program.  Award recipients provide a best practices sustainability model for other businesses to learn from and emulate;
• Support our public lecture series, which brings environmental experts to speak to our communities about our region’s and our world’s most pressing environmental issues, and how we can address them head on.
