The Adams County Veterans Monument was dedicated on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2007. The 10 individual monuments pay tribute to over 3000 names of those who served Active duty in the Armed forces from Adams County Nebraska. The names on each individual stone are in no particular order so additional names can be added. The 173 names noted with a * next to them are those who paid the ulitmate sacrafice to give us our freedom to live the American dream.

Applications continue to be taken and will be engraved on the monument once or twice a year.

Remember it is the Veteran, not the Preacher, Who has given us Freedom of Religion; and

It is the Veteran, not the reporter,

Who has given us Freedom of the Press; and

It is the Veteran, not the Poet,

Who has given us Freedom of Speech; and

It is the Veteran, not the Campus Organizer,

Who has given us Freedom to Demonstrate; and

It is the Veteran, not the Lawyer,

Who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial.

VETERANS, YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!
