We believe adoptive families are the single greatest resource our country has to offer children without families. The current system is built on an archaic narrative that claims families like yours don’t exist- that in order to get children adopted, we must market the most vulnerable children in the hopes the interest that is generated will yield a match. And while such strategies have achieved a modicum of success, we know that marketing and matching are separate functions that yield different outcomes. As a result- we have a child welfare system that is so overwhelmed with hopeful adoptive parents- it struggles to keep up with important next steps like training, licensing and ultimately matching.
We invite you to join our movement, helping equip child placement agencies with a tool to match waiting children with waiting families. As we work to bring our web based app across the country- we invite you to journey with us as we work to create more efficient processes that help families like yours make life changing connections with the kids who need them most.
About Family-Match:
Family-Match is a data driven application that leverages technology and predictive analytics to connect waiting children more efficiently and appropriately with waiting families. Social workers now have a tool to efficiently assess families from the moment they inquire about the foster/adoption process to families who have been approved to adopt, identifying child and family pairings that will yield the greatest chance of success for the children and families that remain in the matching pool. Family-Match is a web-based application created by Adoption-Share, a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 tax exempt organization with a mission to create more families through adoption. Their work has been recognized globally.
