African American Community Cultural Education Programs and Training

Today ACCEPT provides comprehensive community programs that improve access to healthcare, enhance quality of life and empower under-represented populations in northern Nevada. Since its inception sixteen years ago over 15,000 persons have been served. There are eleven program areas that support services around HIV/AIDS prevention education, substance abuse prevention education, family communication training programs, parenting education, support and care services. Our hands on contact with people enables us to know the pulse of our community and we know now with the very dire economic times that our services help inspire and teach valuable coping skills much needed by people in our county.
