In 1903, at the suggestion of Ellen White, a group of leaders from the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists went from Battle Creek, Michigan to Washington, DC in search of a new location for the denominational headquarters, a publishing house, a sanitarium, and a college. They found just what they were looking for in Takoma Park, Maryland. Ellen White contributed a part of the proceeds from the sale of the book "The Ministry of Healing" to help build the sanitarium, and Adventist HealthCare was born.

Today, based in Rockville, MD, Adventist HealthCare is a non-profit network of healthcare providers that includes hospitals, home health agencies, nursing centers, and other healthcare services.

For over 100 years we have been dedicated to bringing health to the community and the community into health. That work continues today and your gracious donations allow us to expand access to healthcare while furthering our mission to demonstrate God’s care by improving the health of people and communities through a ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Together we can make a difference...Emergency care, depression, cancer, abuse & neglect, sadness, heart attack, newborns, NICU, mother & child, hope, community, independence. With your support, together, we can ensure that all the entities of Adventist HealthCare will continue to provide excellent programs and initiatives.
