Adventure Theatre Inc

Adventure Theatre's mission is to cultivate new generations of audiences and artists by creating memorable theater experiences in an intimate and interactive environment. We produce stage adaptations of children’s stories, camps and classes and outreach initiatives. Our focus on the youngest of theater-goers and on children's stories enhance literacy as well as spark a life-long love of the arts. At Adventure Theatre we offer:

• Great Stories Onstage (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day)
• World Premieres (The Snowy Day)
• Regional and National Stars (Felicia Curry in Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse and Broadway veteran Ken Ludwig, author of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas)
• Camps and classes for children to exercise their own creative muscles (Musical Theater Workshop, Light Saber Workshop)
• A touring production that went to Singapore and Malaysia last fall (Just a Dream: the Green Play)

Ticket sales and fees cover only 70% of what it costs to operate a theater; the rest comes from individuals and organizations that support Adventure Theatre.

Recently, the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation just challenged Adventure Theatre to raise $10,000 in new donations, which they will match dollar-for-dollar for a total of $20,000.
