AFTA delivers arts experiences specially designed to enhance the quality of life of older adults, especially those who are vulnerable and frail.

Delivered by our trained, professional teaching artists and facilitated in adult day care and community settings in need throughout the DC metro area, AFTA's high-quality engagement programs allow partners to focus their savings on safety net services. And for older adults living with ranges of increasing physical and cognitive challenges, immersion in visual, performing, literary, and intergenerational arts experiences sparks the memory, lifts the spirit and creates social bonds, all so critical for those who are increasingly more frail, isolated and marginalized.
