Agape Center​ Moneta

The Agape Center in Moneta walks alongside families and individuals facing difficult seasons by meeting practical needs and offering hope rooted in Christ’s love.  We provide mentoring, food, clothing, household goods, furniture, firewood and more to about 650 neighbors in need each month from Bedford and Franklin Counties. 

Double Your Impact During SML Gives!

Two generous donors have stepped forward with $10,000 matching gifts, creating the opportunity to double the first $20,000 donated during the event.  Our goal is to raise $40,000 during the 24-hour campaign, which will allow us to unlock the full $20,000 match and expand the impact of the ministry at the Agape Center in Moneta.

Urgent Needs 

As with last year, donations will purchase essential items that are rarely donated but frequently requested, including heaters, air conditioners, small appliances, diapers, and household basics. We will fund these items again this year, adding mattresses and beds as a top priority.  For some of the neighbors we serve, the difference between sleeping on the floor and sleeping in a bed depends entirely on donations like these.  To see the results of your generosity from last year, click on the IMPACT 2025 tab above. ↗️

Refrigerator Truck

Thanks to a recent generous $40,000 foundation gift, most of the cost of a used refrigerator truck is already covered.   Donations not required to fund the urgent needs above for 2026 will support paying off the remaining $13,000 of this critical purchase.  With drivers on the road six days a week, picking up both furniture and food, a reliable truck is critical to safely transport frozen and refrigerated food.
