AGUILA Youth Leadership Institute (AGUILA) is a unique program that increases college enrollment and, more importantly, graduation rates for our youth. Are we unique? We would like to think so. However, we do not believe our approach is rocket science. We believe we are moving forward because we are stepping backward – back to our roots, our beliefs, our traditions, our values and determination that is so much a part of who we are as a people. It is important to note that non-Latino student enrollment in AGUILA is on the rise and is a reflection of a growing sentiment among youth that appreciation of differences is critical to the future of our world.
