We support the local community in Las Vegas, Nellis AFB and Creech AFB. Some examples; AF Wounded Warrior Program, ROTC scholarships, Honor the Honor Guard luncheon, Cyber Patriot, Aviation Nation Air Show, Teacher of the Year, Base awards programs for Outstanding Airman, and  Adopt a Family through Operation Warmheart. We also recognize the outstanding JR ROTC cadets in the local High Schools.  Educate: AFA is committed to educating the public about the critical role of aerospace airpower in the defense of our Nation. Advocate: we have a long history of advocacy beginning with its first successful effort to establish an independent Air force in 1947 and continuing to advocate Congress on important matters pertaining to those who serve and have served in the Air Force. Support: the total Air Force family and promote aerospace education (STEM)
