The Foundation’s principal purpose is to provide financial support for the expansion and maintenance of the Airmen’s Memorial School in West New Britain Province (WNBP) founded in 1964 by Fred Hargesheimer (http://www.fredhargesheimer.com/; http://www.fredsstorythemovie.com/index.html ), one of the downed allied pilots rescued by the people of WNBP, as well as to assist in the general health, education, and well being of the people in the area, including the care of a second school also established by Fred, at Noau, built in the early 1990s.
