Al Copeland Foundation

A nonprofit organization

The Al Copeland Foundation (ACF) supports new local cancer research, education and patient programs at the Copeland-LSU Health Science Center Partnership in Viruses, Cancer and Immunotherapy. ACF is on a path to fulfill a wish, to save lives and end cancer.

The fight to end cancer does not stop for even a global pandemic, and neither does the need of cancer patients to have access to immunotherapy treatments right here at home.

Together our legacy has brought groundbreaking, life-saving treatments to LA.
Together our legacy has ensured that those fighting for their lives against cancer can receive these treatments across the state.
Together our legacy has connected cancer patients to immunotherapy treatments right here at home.
Together we have ensured the over 26,480 patients across Louisiana that will hear they have cancer this year, will have the option of immunotherapy treatments in their own community.
Together we have given 5 patients the gift of hearing the sweet words YOU ARE CANCER FREE!
Together we will continue making huge wins in the fight against cancer because together we will fulfill our legacy of ending cancer.

Every donation greatly impacts saving lives right here in Louisiana. We hope you take a moment to help save lives and end cancer.

Testimonials

The first local patient to need this investigational treatment had an emotional reunion with the Copeland family so he could say thank you for bringing the Merkel cell trial to New Orleans! All of the tumors in Dr. Vargas' sinuses and throat, that triggered suspicious nose bleeds months ago, are gone or shrinking.
