Alaska Wilderness League builds, leads, and supports national coalitions to influence federal decision-makers to protect Alaska’s wild lands and waters.

Founded in 1993, we collaborate meaningfully with partners, especially those from Alaska Native communities, in shared efforts to advance land protections and climate solutions.

Based in Washington, D.C., and with a strong presence in Alaska, Alaska Wilderness League is the only national nonprofit focused exclusively on the protection of Alaska’s federal lands and waters.
