Alaskans Together Foundation (ATF) is Alaska’s statewide educational and advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Alaskans. ATF is the  (C3) nonprofit organization,  that educates and advocates at the local, state, and federal levels for equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Alaskans.

In January of 2007, a ballot measure committee was organized and was named Alaskans Together. It was organized to fight against an anti-gay advisory vote promoted by opponents of civil equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people in Alaska. This group of Alaskans who intended to strip State employees of same-sex partner benefits found themselves fighting a surprisingly close election that inspired a group of local LGBTQ activists from across the state to continue to organize and create a statewide LGBTQ educational and advocacy organization. This statewide LGBTQ organization has been engaged in local, state, and federal policy discussions and educational initiatives to further LGBTQ rights in Alaska and across the country since 2007.

Alaska’s gay and transgender population can be found across Alaska and our supporters include not only lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and families but also straight allies across the state.
