Allegany College of Maryland Foundation

Allegany College of Maryland, the community’s college in Allegany County and serving the surrounding region, was founded in 1961.  In fall 1996, with the College’s role in the region continuing to expand, the College was renamed Allegany College of Maryland to reflect changes in its mission.

Since the inception of the College Foundation in 1982, we have invested private dollars to provide scholarships and educational opportunities to our students.   Your support will provide students with the additional assistance and encouragement necessary to attain their educational goals.

Allegany College of Maryland is a lifelong learning community dedicated to excellence in education and responsive to the changing needs of the communities we serve.  Our focus is the preparation of individuals for lives of fulfillment, leadership, and service in a diverse and global society.  We provide rich and challenging learning opportunities with a personal touch.  We are committed to being a regional leader in providing education programs, training, and services.  The College has over 50 years of experience in providing quality credit, workforce development, and educational programs in Allegany County and the surrounding rural tri-state region.

The College and the Center for Continuing Education are committed to providing quality training for students, businesses, and other employees who work in existing and emerging businesses in our community.  Our staff works closely with each student and business customer to offer programs that address the client’s needs.  Whether it is a credit program or a short-term or long-term training project, the delivery of quality training is foremost.
