Alliance for Childhood Diseases dba Cure 4 The Kids Foundation

It wasn't too long ago that children with catastrophic conditions like cancer, schleroderma, inherited bleeding disorders or genetic conditions had to travel out of state to see the experts who could provide the best knowledge on their specific condition. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation worked to change that for those living in Nevada and in neighboring states.  Cure 4 The Kids Foundation provides access to Board Certified Pediatric Hemotology/Oncology physicians for those families who can pay for their own care, for those families who cannot, and those without medical insurance. In addition, the foundation brings in pediatric genetic and rheumatological experts whose skills are not currently available anywhere in the state.  At the foundation's expense, these visiting physicians provide treatment specific days of the month to those who would otherwise travel out of state to get this care and would have to endure additional expense and travel. The foundation's Charity Care program ensures that all children faced with these life threatening conditions get the treatment that can save their lives. Cure 4 The Kids operates two programs: The Children's Specialty Center of Nevada the state's only nonprofit, pediatric cancer oupatient treatment center; The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada, the only federally recognized HTC in the state of Nevada.
