Alliance House Inc

Alliance House offers men & women with  mental illness the chance to:

• Complete educational goals
• Develop self-esteem and necessary work skills
• Return to productive employment in the community
• Find and secure affordable housing 
• Live a life of respect and independence within the greater community
• Experience the same world of friendship, housing, education and employment as the rest of society

In a setting that is neither institutional nor a traditional treatment center, those Alliance House serves are considered Members, not patients, not clients. Alliance House empowers adults aged 18 and older with mental illness. Members rebuild their confidence, purpose, abilities, and community, through meaningful work, education, safe and affordable housing, and respectful relationships.  

Alliance House was founded in 1987 and is a Member of Clubhouse International, which promotes the development and strengthening of approximately 300 clubhouse-model programs in thirty countries. Alliance House is one of only eleven Clubhouses in the world that is certified by Clubhouse International to be a Training Base; providing an extensive training course for other organizations wanting to establish or enhance their own Clubhouse-model center.
