The Alzheimers Project Inc

In 1991, guided by Reverend John Fletcher, Saint Paul's United
Methodist Church introduced an outreach program we now call
Alzheimer's Project, Inc.  

Alzheimer's Project, Inc., was first incorporated as the non-profit
organization Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee, Inc., in 1992.  In
2006, The Alzheimer’s Project, Inc. celebrated 15 years of service to
the Tallahassee and Leon County community.  In 2007, The
Alzheimer's Project of Tallahassee, merged with the Alzheimer's
Resource Center of Tallahassee to become The Alzheimer’s Project,
Inc. In addition to its many services currently being provided in Leon
County, The Alzheimer’s Project, Inc. has recently increased its
service base and is now providing support groups in Jefferson,
Gadsden, Wakulla, Franklin, Madison, Taylor, and Liberty counties
and soon to be in Gulf county.

In 2011, Alzheimer's Project, Inc. celebrates 20 years of service to
the Big Bend Region of Florida.

Alzheimer’s Project, Inc.’s main focus has always been providing
assistance to caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease. By
placing volunteers in patient’s homes, The Alzheimer’s Project, Inc.,
is able to provide much needed respite for caregivers. Respite time
gives caregivers the opportunity to learn how to take care of
themselves; whether they go to the grocery store, attend doctor’s
appointments or take a nap for 3 hours, it is their time for themselves.
Through the years The Alzheimer’s Project, Inc., has incorporated
support groups, counseling, educational opportunities, the Project
Lifesaver Program and many more programs and social services for
caregivers.

Alzheimer's Project, Inc. proudly continues to provide ALL support
services  to the Alzheimer’s community free of charge.
