Alief Clovers AAU Youth Basketball

The story started in 2011 after I created an athletic program at an Alternative High School called Crossoads located in Houston, Tx. After attending so many funerals in just 2 years of teaching I had to do something to help change my community so I created a basketball & soccer team for the school and saw many positive changes in the schools. That summer of 2011 I Continued with creating the Alief Clovers AAU basketball team that would give my students the opportunity to earn a scholorship at NCAA approved tournaments. With no help or funding I was able to take 12 high school boys to 7 tournaments the 1st year and the vision was clear of what my calling on earth is, and that is to be an advocate for our youth. Last year was very amazing we had 3 successful boys teams last year (Varsity, JV, & 14u) winning tournaments but most importantly we had 5 seniors earn basketball scholorships for the 2014 school year. Helping kids reach their dream of being an student/athete is honor.
