Christmas Food Appeal - The Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic is an outreach nation of AFCI. For fifteen years, we have been blessing 700+ street children living in the poverty-stricken barrio of Los Charamicos by sponsoring a community Christmas dinner for both the parents and their children. We have been told that this is the best and most nutritious meal most of them would have all year. The children will enjoy chicken, rice and beans, potato salad, pasta salad, a roll, and fruit, along with music, laughter and entertainment.
In addition to the meal, we also plan to purchase and deliver boxes containing a complete Christmas dinner to 50 of the poorest families in the community to be delivered the third week of December. These acts of love open the door for the local church to encourage and minister to many of the families in this community. In years past, we have seen parents openly weep, astounded that someone would care enough to do this for them and their children.

Ambassadors for Christ International (AFCI) was founded on the belief that Christian nationals living and working in their own countries provide the best foundation for the church to thrive and grow.
