The American Diabetes Association -Atlanta Office will be participating in the GA GIVES , Giving Tuesday campaign on December 3 , 2019. We have our sights set on making the most of this opportunity for those that are living with diabetes and for those that love them and we need your help!

WHO WE ARE...

The moving force behind the work of the Association is a network of more than one million volunteers, a membership of more than 500,000 people with diabetes, their families and caregivers, a professional society of nearly 14,000 health care professionals, as well as more than 800 staff members.

Diabetes: the numbers are staggering.

With more than 30 million adults and children in America living with diabetes, that's 1 in 11 Americans! In Georgia 1.11 million people have diabetes and 2.59 million have prediabetes. 

Georgia alone spends $11 billion in healthcare treating diabetes and it's complications. The annual health care costs for a person diagnosed with diabetes are 2.3X HIGHER than a person without!

This disease is taking a devastating physical, emotional and financial toll on our communities.
