There is so much important work in store this year and we need your support to enable us to continue supporting working lands in the Pacific Northwest. Can you help the Pacific Northwest become a more resilient and sustainable food system with a special gift today?

Description

American Farmland Trust works to save the land that sustains us, by protecting farmland, promoting sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land. AFT has been hard at work for nearly 40 years to address the economic and access gaps that exist in agriculture. AFT is working in the Pacific Northwest to engage both new and beginning farmers as wells as under served populations in agriculture.

American Farmland Trust (AFT) began in 1980 after a small group of farmers and conservationists asked an important question: What will happen to the nation's food supply if we continue to wastefully develop our best farm and ranch land? AFT is now the nation's leading conservation organization dedicated to preserving America's farm and ranch lands. Through research, technical support, and promoting policies, programs, planning, and practices to protect farmland and advance the environmental stewardship of our working lands, AFT serves as a vital link among farmers, conservationists and policymakers. AFT's Pacific Northwest team has been working to save farmland in Washington State since 2000.
