For over thirty years, Curtis Blake Learning Services of American International College has worked to give those with language-based learning disabilities the tools they need to learn to succeed. We employ over seventy-five full- and part-time staff, in three different locations, across five major service programs, meeting the diagnostic, tutoring, and teaching needs of students of all ages.
- Curtis Blake Day School
The Day School serves the needs of language learning-disabled individuals through programs that continually benefit from scientifically based research in the areas of reading, oral and written language, cognitive growth, and social-emotional development.
- Diagnostic Services
Founded in 1969, the Diagnostic Center of Curtis Blake Learning Services provides diagnostic services to children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on providing assessment and evaluation for individuals experiencing academic, literacy, and social learning difficulties.
- Tutoring
The Curtis Blake Learning Services Tutorial Program provides one-to-one instruction using proven, research-based interventions for students with literacy-based disabilities. We serve children throughout the Pioneer Valley, addressing most academic areas, but particularly literacy development.
- Summer Programs
Our Summer Instructional Clinic is held on the campus of American International College, with daily sessions throughout the month of July, providing students with four weeks of intensive one-on-one sessions with experienced tutors.
- Collegiate Disability and Supportive Learning Services
Supportive Learning Services (SLS) has been an integral part of the American International College campus since 1977. Our staff recognizes that everyone learns differently and serves students as individuals with customized approaches and plans specific to their learning styles. We value our students’ individual strengths above all things and truly believe they can achieve their dreams if given the right tools.
