American Red Cross - Central Plains Chapter

The American Red Cross is more than just "blood" and "flood", while we love people who roll-up their sleeve to save-a-life, the Red Cross helps:

• During the everyday disaster (like house fires) 
• Provide supporting service to members of the military and their families
• Teach lifesaving classes (like CPR/First Aid/AED)
• Provide assistance to people in all communities  

Disaster Response--> $1,000 provides a full day of emergency shelter including three meals, two blankets, one cot and personal supplies for 20 disaster victims.

Service to Armed Forces (SAF)--> $10,000 provides nurse assistant training to enhance employment and career-building skills for eight military famility members.

Preparedness, Safety, and Health--> $2,000 provides swimming lessons for 200 children, teaching them valuable skills that will help reduce their risk of drowning or help them to save another's life.

International Services--> $5,000 establishes an emergency shelter for one community by equipping community buildings, such as schools, to successfully serve as a safe haven during a disaster.
