Your contribution to American Stage supports these programs:

• Mainstage Series: Season of year-round, high-quality, award-winning contemporary and freshly imagined classic plays presented by top professional actors, directors and designers.
  
  
• American Stage in the Park: Held outdoors each spring at Demens Landing park in downtown St. Pete, featuring dynamic, Broadway-style productions of vibrant musicals, experienced by more than 15,000 people in our community each year.
  
  
• AS Education: Extensive Education and Outreach programs that enrich youth of all ages and the underserved in our community. Proud recipients of the 2018 WEDU BE MORE ENRICHED AWARD for the American Stage Education Teaching Artist Outreach programs.
  
  
• AS FWD: The Next Generation: Impactful Youth Initiatives that provide young adults with unprecedented access to our work through the Apprenticeship Program, Under 30 Pass for young professionals and Under 20 Passport, offering free mainstage tickets to young persons under age 20.
  
  
• 21st Century Voices: Emerging Plays New plays are vital to the continued advancement of theatre across the world. As part of AS’s continuous support of the next generation of American playwrights, this program is dedicated to discovering, developing, and introducing the widest audiences to new works for the stage. A diverse committee of community members works alongside our producing artistic director each year to read, evaluate, discuss, and critique over 500 new play submissions from up-and-coming playwrights across the globe. Five works are selected and featured in staged readings and workshops during the annual NEW PLAY FESTIVAL each January. The festival provides meaningful feedback to the playwrights by giving audiences the opportunity to contribute to the plays’ development through talk-backs following each reading.
