Amery Area Historical Society

The history of Amery and the surrounding area has significant value to us, our communities, and our future. We define the surrounding area   as those townships and villages where the schools were integrated into the Amery School District in the 1950-60’s. It is because of the dedicated and courageous early settlers and their efforts that we enjoy this community today.  

VISION STATEMENT 

The Vision of the Amery Area Historical Society is to preserve and promote the culture and history of Amery and its surrounding area. 

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Amery Area Historical Society is to:

• collect, preserve, and disseminate materials and information relating to the history of Amery, Wisconsin, and its surrounding area.
• provide programs and educational resources about Amery and its surrounding area. 
• serve  as a repository for photographs, home movies, oral and taped interviews, and memorabilia representing the history of  Amery and the surrounding area.

GOAL 1: Maintain a stable and enthusiastic MEMBERSHIP level:   

 GOAL 2: Provide EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS and EVENTS to members and the community.

  GOAL 3:  Achieve financial stability through FUNDRAISING, GRANTS and DONATIONS.
