The Red Barn needs a hand

Over the last fifteen years, the Amherst Red Barn Music School has given lessons and classes to hundreds of people, sponsored concerts, performed outreach, and contributed to what makes Amherst a great place to live and raise a family. Now, the Red Barn needs more than your applause, it needs a hand.

A Message from our Chair

Dear Friend of Red Barn,

As members of the board of Friends of Red Barn Music, we know how much music lessons have added to our own children's lives. We see them learn valuable skills about the benefits of practice, develop a life-long appreciation of music, and gain confidence in performing at recitals. Perhaps most importantly, we value how much fun our children have in working with Kevin Collins and the other outstanding and dedicated music teachers at Red Barn.

We are writing to request your support in helping support this unique and special program that has provided so much to many families in the Pioneer Valley. Like many organizations, Red Barn faces financial pressure and could really use your support. Specifically, we would appreciate your assistance in one (or both!) of two ways:

1) Tell your friends and neighbors about Red Barn Music, and the value of having music lessons of all types (guitar, piano, violin, cello, voice, drums) conveniently located in downtown Amherst with free parking.

2) Make a tax-deductible contribution to Red Barn to assist with growing the Red Barn, scholarships to low-income families, and outreach at a time when school music is being cut back.

Music is a gift we give our children, a gift that they will have with them their whole lives. Please help Red Barn Music continue to provide this gift for children in the community for many years to come. We are grateful for your generosity and for ensuring the future of this special program we value for our children.

Sincerely,

Catherine Sanderson, Chair
Sandi Burkett, Vice Chair
Tammy Rahhal, Secretary
Andrew Parker-Renga, Treasurer
Kate Atkinson, Member-at-Large
Monica Robelotto, Member-at-Large
