SURVIVAL CENTERS INC dba Amherst Survival Center

Our mission is to connect residents of Hampshire and Franklin Counties with food, clothing, healthcare, wellness, and community. The Amherst Survival Center serves close to 6,000 people each year and 230 per day.

And we do it with 250 volunteers who come to the Center every week to create and deliver our programs. Amherst Survival Center volunteers do everything: greet visitors, recover and distribute food, cook and serve meals, provide medical care, sort clothing donations and stock pantry shelves, unload food deliveries, and more.

 How Can You Help?

Donations of funds, time (as a volunteer), and goods (food, clothing, etc.) are needed to make the Amherst Survival Center such a successful organization.

You can give through our Gift Catalog at www.amherstsurvival.org/2016Catalog.  

Have you started your holiday shopping? Take a new route when it comes to giving this year. Provide a family in your community with a monthly food box, contribute to our health needs fund, or give a helping hand to people who rely on our shower, laundry facilities, and lockers.  
You can give a Catalog gift to friends and family and know that your donation will support the Center's programs and ensure that our neighbors who seek assistance are welcomed with respect and dignity.  
It's easy:  1) go through the catalog and be inspired, 2) donate in honor of friends and family,  3) make sure to give us their names and addresses, and  4) we'll send them a card to let them know of your holiday gift (or, if you prefer, we can also give you cards to personalize).   Thank you for considering making a financial donation to the Center as part of your #GivingTuesday activity and your holiday gift giving!
