Anchor of Hope, Inc.

Founded in 2013 with the defined purpose of assisting International Medical Graduates to navigate the long, complex process and confusing system of gaining the necessary support and education to practice in the United States.

With the onset of COVID-19, our mission grew to include serving the immediate needs of all members of our international community.

Anchor of Hope, Inc. provides healthcare and housing assistance to those in our community that fall within the following criteria: Uninsured, Marginalized, Low/Moderate Income, Homeless, Seniors, Disabled, Refugees, and others.

In March 2020, at the beginning of the lockdown 

in Georgia, Anchor of Hope answered a call for help from Africa’s Children’s Fund, a 501c(3).

Through this collaboration, we assisted 220 

near-homeless and unsheltered individuals

and families in metro Atlanta.

The team at AOH was able to provide essential Personal Protective Equipment, Feminine Hygiene, Canned-Goods, and Utensils to their community in need.

Through further funding from The United Way of Greater Atlanta/Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta, we provided housing and utility assistance to another 19 low-to-medium income families, helping prevent homelessness in this time of struggle.
