While legal representation is guaranteed in a criminal case to those unable to afford an attorney, no such right exists for those facing civil legal problems. 

Legal assistance is often the only tool disadvantaged Utahns have to secure the basic needs that many of us take for granted - physical safety, family stability, habitable shelter, access to healthcare and other crucial services. 

AND JUSTICE FOR ALL is a statewide effort by Utah's primary providers of civil legal aid to ensure that disadvantaged Utahns receive the legal help they need to:

• Escape domestic violence
• Maintain their homes
• Secure income to meet basic shelter, food and medical needs
• Access healthcare
• Resolve family disputes
• Obtain equal access to public services for people with disabilities
• Address educational needs
• Protect vulnerable seniors and children
• Represent Native Americans in tribal court
