AAWDC works to ensure that Anne Arundel County has a highly skilled workforce that meets the current and future needs of its businesses, and that citizens have the tools and resources to maximize their career potential. AAWDC coordinates county workforce activities through One-Stop Career Center systems.  ervices include recruitment, retention, downsizing assistance, and training funds for businesses; and job search and training assistance for job seekers. AAWDC also operates targeted workforce programs aimed at specific populations often facing multiple employment barriers, include out-of-school youth, older workers, recipients of public assistance, homeless veterans and offenders. In addition, AAWDC offers targeted training initiatives in high-demand industries, including Information Technology, green jobs, and healthcare.
