Annie's Hope - The Center for Grieving Kids

A nonprofit organization

Annie's Hope is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide free, comprehensive support services to children, teens, and families who are grieving deaths. Our programs embrace the kids and families who are disenfranchised by a society that is uncomfortable in the presence of emotional pain. Since 1998, our facilitated peer support programs have provided a vulnerable population with healthy coping skills, renewed confidence, and outlets for emotional expression. When sad, isolated kids have opportunities to experience peer-based interaction, it alters the trajectory of their grief toward futures where happiness and productivity abound.

Annie's Hope offers Family Support Groups, Camp Courage and Camp Courage - Teens, School-Based Support Groups and Crisis Intervention, Teen Retreats, Social Events, a Community Resource Library, Horizons anticipatory grief visits for families facing imminent deaths, a Speaker's Institute, Grief Referral Services, Professional Education, and an Annual Hope and Healing Gathering, in a non-judgmental atmosphere of compassion and gratitude. All of our programs are free for grieving kids and adults. Services are available for any child between 3 and 18 years of age residing in the St. Louis region.
