Coalición de Derechos Humanos

We are a grassroots organization dedicated to defending the rights of the entire immigrant community, regardless of immigration status.

With over 30 years of history here in Tucson, our strength lies in the power and passion of our volunteers who, day by day, help us pave the way for justice, dignity, and solidarity with our migrant sisters and brothers.

We firmly believe that in the face of persecution, harassment, and the hate speech driven by the far-right agenda of the current president, it is essential that we organize to resist.

Only the people can save the people!

That’s why, with the support of more than 15 allied organizations, we have created the Defense and Resistance Committees, aimed at providing support to our community in various key areas, such as:

 Providing witness support and community presence through our Rapid Response Group to document immigration-related detentions.

• Creating and distributing educational materials that inform the immigrant community of their rights.

• Offering workshops and training sessions on how to respond if detained by U.S. authorities.

• Delivering emotional and psychological support services to those impacted.

• Developing social media campaigns, writing press releases, and collaborating with journalists and allied media to raise awareness about this ongoing crisis.

• Partnering with key community stakeholders—including businesses, churches, schools, and others—to build broader support and encourage collaboration for our cause.
