The Arizona Humanities (AH) offers and funds diverse humanities programs in communities throughout the entire state of Arizona. AH works with museums, libraries, and other cultureal and educational organizations to bring humanities programs to the publics. Since the inception of AH in 1973, close to $11 million has been directed to hundreds of Arizona cultural and educational institutions. Each year, AH programs and funding reach thousands of people throughout Arizona.

AH's programs are an investment in Arizona's communities - because lifelong learning enriches and helps us become better and more thoughtful citizens of our state, our nations, and the world.

1.) We make the humanities FREE and ACCESSIBLE, with film screenings, discussions, lectures, exhibitions, poetry readings, family reading programs, and more.

2.) We go statewide, to the big cities of Phoenix and Tucson, the small towns of Bisbee and Parker, and everywhere in between

3.) We support numerous cultural organizations in communities, from museums and libraries, to community centers, cultural groups, and schools

4.) We offer humanities programs for all ages, whether it's through family reading programs or speakers presentations or the humanities festival

As an attendee at a speakers bureau presentation remarked, "The humanities are the heart and soul of ourselves.  They add richness, compassion, and beauty to life."  Help us continue the work to bring the humanities to residents across Arizona. Thank you!
