Arizona Search Track and Rescue Inc

Since our founding in 1999, we have been involved in over 800 searches, with handlers totaling over 115 years of combined search and rescue experience. Annually, AZ STaR has averaged approximately 40 cases and 98 search days per year. During that time, our organization has been vital in numerous rewarding and publicly recognized incidents, including one occurring in which a Del Monte executive, Mr. Corzo, was reported missing. A short time later, AZ STaR was summoned to aid in the hunt for Mr. Corzo who disappeared while visiting farms near Dateland. After just two hours of searching, Corzo’s vehicle was located a half mile from a road in a remote area in Western Maricopa County. Corzo’s disappearance was attributed to foul play, but the quick find of Corzo’s vehicle and buried body, aided immensely in the investigation in which the perpetrators were brought to justice.

Another of a missing 24 year old college student.  Tempe Police had been searching for 2 weeks when AZ StaR was asked to assist.  Within a couple of hours a search dog inidicated that the mising person was in Tempe Town Lake.  This was confirmed by 3 additional search dogs and then the divers were brought in to search the 60 x 60 ft. area.  After 3 days of searching the young mans body surfaced right under the buoy placed by the first dog handler.  At that time Tempe Police indicated via a media source that “information from Arizona Search Track and Rescue, whose members boast years of law-enforcement experience, was vital in the find of a 24-year-old man who had been missing for 2 weeks.

The recent finding of a 4 year old child that had wandered out into the desert at night.  According to reports within 45 minutes of arriving at the search area one of the AZ STaR canines had located the child and taken their handler and police to his location.
