Arizona Wilderness Coalition

A nonprofit organization

$725 raised by 5 donors

Arizona Wilderness Coalition (AWC) preserves and restores the wild lands and waters of Arizona to ensure a lasting home in wild nature for native plants and animals.

This Giving Tuesday, we ask for your support as we lead students from Northern Arizona University into the beautiful Kendrick Mountain Wilderness, in partnership with Native American Student Services. We'll guide students to enjoy three days of nature, education and adventure. Increasing exposure to outdoor experiences is crucial to ensuring the next generation of Wilderness Stewards. This weekend trip is designed to inspire and encourage interest in caring for wilderness, particularly in our Native American youth.

With your help, we will focus on wilderness education and backcountry ethics, and include hands-on training in trail maintenance techniques. We will spend the last day exploring and summiting Kendrick Mountain!

Your donation will help provide transportation, educational resources and supplies. We are also providing all meals and water for the trip. Every dollar helps!

Contributions for Giving Tuesday may support wilderness preservation and restoration projects throughout the state.
