This year:

• one of our dogs was named the 2013 Search and Rescue Hero Dog by the American Human Association
• Top-Rated award winner from GreatNonprofits 

In the last  7 weeks:

• we added 3 dogs and 4 handlers
• trained for water, urban and wildnerness environments
• attended community events for animal shelters, emergency personnel, the Salvation Army and others
• our dogs have identified cancerous cells numerous times

As an all-volunteer group, we are dedicated. We are succesful. We belive in serving our community by offering the most incredible gift: Hope. 

Whether it's a search and rescue mission 6 hours from our home (as was the case with the Nashville floods), or leaving our day jobs to take our dogs to a lab to sniff out cancer cells in urine, we will do absolutely everything we can to help others. To bring loved ones home, or at least to bring answers.

We all know that dogs have incredible noses, but ASDA is committed to using this natural, powerhouse of a tool in ways that can benefit our local and broader communities. But we need help to do so.

Support from our friends means we can get training and equipment. A new harness ensures the safety of a canine on the job; a lab dolly can speed up the cancer studies so that it can be presented to the medical community sooner. Early detection means SAVING LIVES.
