Arrowhead Ranch Estates Volunteer Fire Department

We are a volunteer fire department in rural Clay County. We service a rural unincorporated community with approximately three hundred addresses and growing. We also have a mutual aid agreement with all the other twelve volunteer fire departments in our county, as well as neighboring Archer County volunteer fire departments. We are located south of Wichita Falls, Texas and near a lake used for Wichita Falls water supply as well as recreation. We have nineteen members on our department, and of these four are certified EMT’s, and eight are certified firefighters with Texas State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals Association. We have a training meeting every other Monday of the month.

Our purpose is to provide fire protection and emergency medical service to our community, as well as any other place that requests our service. We are dispatched from our county sheriff's department via a 911 call or other call for mutual aid. We are 100% volunteer and we rely on grants, fundraisers, and donations to help with our department's equipment and vehicle maintenance, our operating expenses, and the purchase of new equipment to better help serve our community.
