"Any nation that can survive what we have lately in the way of government, is on the high road to permanent glory."  Molly Ivins

Arguably the most celebrated political journalist in all of American history, Molly Ivins returns to Arizona with an assist from fellow Houstonian Gail Mangham, Artistic Director of The Artist's Path.  Help us bring back Molly as she regales us with stories in the play Red Hot Patriot!

"Molly can't say that, can she?"  Well she did and still does as she lives on in this kick-ass play that will have you falling off your seat. But The Artist's Path offers even more. The Festival also includes a Film, The Ray Parker Story which tells the story of an LA Times reporter who ran an underground newspaper behind the barbed wire of a German POW camp.  In addition a panel of journalism scholars and reporters from Arizona will tackle the topic of Journalism & Ethics in the 21st Century at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  A Photojournalism Competition open to all residents of Arizona at least 15 years old by October 15, 2013 will give amateurs and professionals an opportunity to tackle challenging themes through the lenses of their cameras.  Prescott College hosts this event.  Finally we have been shocked to learn that over 900 journalists have lost their lives on the job since 1992.  An In Memoriam event will remember their sacrifice in bringing us the news.

Composer Leonard Bernstein wrote, “It is the artists of the world, the feelers and the thinkers, who will ultimately save us; who can articulate, educate, defy, insist, sing and shout the big dreams.” Come to Prescott in April 2014 and help us Shout the Big Dreams!

But Please Give Now to Make Our Dream Possible...
