Artspace is a nonprofit community arts center founded in 1973. We offer weekly art classes and music lessons to children, teens, and adults. We also fund, staff, and provide instruments for the Strings For Kids Program, which offers free weekly violin and cello lessons to students in the Greenfield Public Schools. Our gallery holds regular and varied art exhibits, and we have space available to rent for various events.
Our gallery displays works by talented local artists. The exhibits change about once a month, so come by often!
STRINGS FOR KIDS PROGRAM
Strings for Kids (SFK), now in its 8th year, has served hundreds of students with free violin and cello lessons since the program began in 2008. Artspace Community Arts Center and the Greenfield Public Schools are partners in the SFK program. Artspace provides the string teachers and instruments for the program that includes weekly in-school group lessons, summer and school vacation string intensives, weekly ensembles, and performances.
Private music lessons are offered to children, teens, and adults on strings, brass, woodwinds, guitar, drums, piano and voice. Enrollment is open and ongoing.
Please call Artspace for more information on our current faculty to best suit your individual needs.
We offer art classes for children, teens, and adults. Offerings vary by semester and have included watercolor painting, pastels, drawing, comic book drawing, mixed media, photography, and more. Check our website for current and upcoming classes.
