After-School All-Stars Las Vegas

Today, the organization provides dozens of free academic, athletic and cultural after-school programs to more than 6,000 youth at 14 at-risk schools throughout Clark County School District. Nationally, ASAS serves 92,000 youth in 15 cities each year.

Current research indicates that 70% of youth violence, drug and alcohol use, gang activity and teen pregnancy occur during the out-of-school hours between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. Law enforcement agencies nationwide call this the “danger zone.” During this time, more than 15 million youth are left unsupervised. 

Our programs are based on three pillars which include Academics, Enrichment and Health & Fitness. Programs vary slightly at each school based on need.  Popular programs include: Homework Help, Dance, Sports, Media All-Stars, Mariachi, Lifetime Adventures and more.  

Our vision is for our All-Stars to be safe and healthy, to graduate high school and go to college, to find careers they love and then give back to their communities.
