MISSION

Ascensa Health provides a behavioral health system of care that sustains recovery from addiction and returns individuals to their communities and families.

WHAT WE DO

Based in Metro Atlanta, Ascensa Health provides integrated care for addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders and physical health conditions. Our programs and services are based on the belief that addiction is a disease. We focus on treating the whole person and we support people over a lifetime of recovery. 

WHO WE SERVE

Open to anyone seeking treatment for addiction, Ascensa Health serves approximately 1,500 individuals per year. Most people who come to Ascensa Health are low-income men and women, veterans and families with children. Many are experiencing homelessness, do not have health insurance, or cannot afford life-saving treatment. In 2021, 60% of our clients had a chronic health condition in addition to substance use disorder, and 54% of clients have a co-occurring mental health disorder.

OUR IMPACT

In 2022, we helped over 800 individuals and families recover from addiction. Our outcomes demonstrate our commitment to our clients and our community:

• 100% of clients were below poverty level at admission, however, only 8% were below poverty at discharge
• 98% of clients who entered our Employment Services program became employed
• 85% of clients exited our Residential Treatment programs to permanent housing
• 100% of our clients maintained or improved their health
• 100% of babies were born drug free while their mothers were in treatment
