Assistance League is all about providing service to people of all ages in need throughout our community.  Our volunteer members support and maintain our seven philanthropic programs. Funding comes from our thrift shop sales, grants and donations; 100% of all grants and donations go directly to our programs. In all, we give back 84 cents of every dollar earned from our shop to the community. Smiles abound as over 5,000 children in need receive bundles of new school clothes each year through our Operation School Bell program.  Operation Healthy Teeth provides urgent dental care for children who have no other means of getting that care. Baby Bundles provides kits of newborn essestials to the youngest and most vulnerable in our community. Adults re-entering the workforce receive a voucher to select clothing at no cost from our thrift shop, plus other essentials to get them ready for their employment through our Brighter Tomorrows program.  Our Book Bank volunteers read to children in Head Start classes and give each child his or her own book.  Assault Survivor Kits are given to victims of sexual assault. Finally, our ActIII program entertains seniors in care facilities. All of these programs are maintained by our volunteer members; we have no paid staff.
