Association for Child Development

The Association for Child Development (ACD) has been a committed sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in Illinois and Michigan for 40 years. We are a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide nutrition-based training to child care homes and centers to promote the healthy development of children. Through the USDA, we provide partial reimbursement to our clients who serve nutritious meals to children in their care. In 2014, over 20 million nutritious; well-balanced meals were served to children in the care of child care providers under ACD’s sponsorship. 

ACD wants to expand our programming offered to include more than just nutrition-based training! We want to provide a multitude of trainings to include first-aid, health and wellness, childhood development, and many more! We are seeking donations to raise the funds needed to add these additional training programs to our already stellar nutrition trainings!
