The Armed Services YMCA San Diego enhances the lives of military members and their families in spirit, mind, and body through programs relevant to the unique challenges of military life.

Supporting the Families of our Heroes

Military life is not easy. Long deployments, frequent relocations, unpredictable schedule changes, and the ever-present reality of war are just some of the heavy burdens that rest upon the shoulders of our nation's warriors and family members.  These lifestyle challenges often lead to repeated scenarios of:

• Social Isolation
• Children Struggling in School
• Food Insecurity
• Disconnection from Community Resources
• Mental and Emotional Health Challenges

For more than 100 years, the Armed Services YMCA San Diego has worked closely with our nation’s warriors and families to understand their needs. Among the many ways that we support our military community are the following initiatives:

We are grateful to be an organization who has served San Diego's military population for 103 years.  In 2022, we were humbled to provide 51,212 points of service to our military members and families.  This work would not be possible without the generosity of our San Diego community.  Please join us in creating lasting impact for military families in need.
