Started to specifically change the lives of addicted teenagers and young adults in the slums of New York, the mission of Teen Challenge is to provide a successful faith-based solution to individuals of all ages with life-controlling problems.

Alabama Teen Challenge began in 1972 as Birmingham Teen Challenge. Today, we operate a non-residential crisis center and four adult residential programs (3 male and 1 female) with a bed capacity of approximately 150 students. Our balanced, one year residential program is summed up as: "We don't just talk about drugs and alcohol. We talk about character." Teen Challenge does not view a person as a statistic - but rather a unique life set apart by God.
