Austin Family Institute

You do not have to look far to discover that folks who need access to behavioral and mental health care often cannot find it. High-quality health care has traditionally been inaccessible to those without the resources to afford it, leaving them to search far and wide for help they may not find.  

 Folks who need support go without. Families who need counseling suffer in silence. But at the Austin Family Institute, we provide couple, family, and individual therapy to folks on the fringes. We aim to bridge the gap to recovery and healing by offering behavioral and mental health care on a sliding scale.  We act as health care ambassadors within the Central Texas community by delivering high-quality therapy and counseling at multiple locations.

 We are community partners. We work with Mary Lee Foundation to serve adults with special needs.  In partnership with three local school districts, we help students and families who benefit from behavioral health support, and we provide the only sliding-scale family therapy services in Manchaca, TX. 

But we cannot do it alone. We need your help. A small donation of only $35 for example, meets the cost of providing therapy to a family below the poverty line. A donation of $100 helps us send therapists to local middle and high schools to see children and adolescents struggling with behavioral and mental health needs.

We are looking for partners to help us reach members of our community who need mental health support. Will you stand in the gap with us?
