Austin Free-Net has been working toward digital equity for the city for 25 years.  We aim to bridge the digital divide and serve the underserved through computer access and instruction.  Our lab techs are standing by to aid and instruct those who would otherwise be without access and know how. Our main lab at the DeWitty Job and Employment Center is equipped with sixteen PCs and a print station for public use.  We offer instruction at several sites throughout the city and teach everything from computer basics and hardware, to IT.  Our Accelerate IT Certification course is free to anyone over the age of 18 and living under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level Amount.  Our mission is to provide technology training and computer access to the community, fostering skills that enable people to succeed in the digital age.  Austin Free-Net believes that access is power, that digital equity is more important than ever and a connected community is empowered and informed.
