The Autism Society currently serves families spanning across both Riverside and San Bernardino counties, including the Coachella Valley. First established in 1986, we provide critical programs and services for children and adults with Autism and their family members across the lifespan to empower, support, and help them be fully included in the community. Services include education and training, outreach to the community, navigation services, family recreation and wellness events, and advocacy. Currently, there are over 36,000 children and adults combined between both regions who need support and education on the many issues our families face.
Below is some data on our impact in 2024:
- Answered 5,854 calls, emails, and social media messages through our System Navigations services.
- 2,233 people participated in our educational training and webinars, including accessing our online Toolkits.
- 8,467 people in our community attended one of our Outreach events.
- 11,783 people attended our Social Wellness Programs and Family Events.

The Autism Society Inland Empire hosts several Family events annually to ensure individuals with Autism are treated with Respect and Dignity while promoting Inclusion. Below are a few testimonials from our families.
"Thank you so much to Autism Society Inland Empire for giving us the opportunity to have so much fun today in a worry free setting! We really had so much fun and it was great to see some familiar faces."
- C. Rivas, Desert Hot Springs, CA
"The Spooktacular was a wonderful experience for our whole family. We really enjoyed all the educational booths that passed out information about new programs, but also passed out candy. Rider was able to trick or treat in a comfortable environment with his friends. The live entertainment was a nice touch, we could sit and watch the performance in a cool seating area. Rider really liked the corn maze, he could take his time walking through and enjoying the day. Hunter, my youngest, liked all the costumes and live characters walking about. We all had a wonderful time and appreciate all the work that was put into making our kids with disabilities not feel different or uncomfortable by their age or costume types of their choosing. I am truly looking forward to next year along with my family."
